My passion for my Community and Country will make me a better MP for Sunyani East - Ransford Antwi
Mr. Ransford Antwi, the Independent Candidate for Sunyani East has stated that his passion for his community and country coupled with the desire to see people Prosper, will make him a better MP for the Constituency..
In an exclusive interview, Mr. Antwi insisted that having lived almost all his life in Sunyani, he knows all the problems confronting his community and believes that a more natural leader who appreciates the plight of the people is urgently needed to save the constituency from politicians who simply don't care.
He therefore, entreated constituents of Sunyani East to put the welfare and development of the constituency above party affiliations, and join him on the rescue mission. '
' Our constituency has suffered since the days of Hon. JH Mensah, who spent more time in Accra than his constituency. To him, if Ghana did well, it would automatically reflect in the lives of every Ghanaian, therefore, devoting all his attention to central government at the expense of his constituency .
Our current MP spent his first eight (8) years in opposition and told us as an opposition MP, it was difficult to make any difference. However, additional eight (8) years with his party in government hasn't made any difference either '' he said. In recent times, some opposition MPS have demonstrated that '' opposition '' is just a word, he declared.
As a matter of urgency, Mr. Ranford Antwi appealed to His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to whip all those involved in the conversion of Sunyani Regional Hospital into Teaching Hospital to action and ensure that the right thing was done. '' For now, it remains only a change of name, nothing more'', he said.
